A model to the rest of the nation and the world

Chains of Rage

Recently, guitarist Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine had some strong words for Paul Ryan when they heard that he liked their music but not their lyrics.  Tom called Ryan the “embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades”.  Many of the fans of Obama have latched onto Morello’s words in a school-yard “haha” moment.  Surely, their candidate would be the “solution” to the ills that Rage complains about!  As if a politician would even be the solution that Rage would get behind.

Another event that has caused the devotees of Obama look down their noses at the rest of the country was Vice President Biden talking decidedly below his office when saying that Romney-Ryan just want’s to enslave the American Public by unchaining wall street and putting the public in chains.

Now, surely, President Obama is true to his words.  He talks a tough talk against Wall-street, CEO’s, and corporate corruption.  But talk is cheap, and when you are a politician it’s a tool.  So, the question is, where does the tire meet the road in all of this tough talk?

Surely he’s done as he’s promised.  He’s taken action against the corrupt, right?  No news is good news, right?  I mean, if there were something worth reporting, it would have been reported by the TV news and print media, right?  Well, don’t hold your breath waiting for the alphabet media and compromising print media to do any kind of homework.  There’s some important information out there and it hasn’t gotten out.

I found an American Thinker blog article by Jean-Claude Groulix that was posted to a friends page in Google Plus about this very thing.  Apparently Obama really didn’t mean what he said when he was talking tough against the Bankers and Wall-Street.

The article quotes another article from The Daily Caller in which it shows that the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) did a study on actions against possible criminal actions by corporations and their executives.  They found that the Obama administration didn’t criminally charge any of the people that were the subject of many of Obama’s speeches.

But why?  Why would the Obama Administration not prosecute the Bankers, CEOs, and others who were the target of his ire?

GAI argues that the Obama administration’s decision to not go after Big Finance is due to senior DOJ leadership — Holder, Associate Attorney General Tom Perrelli, Associate Attorney General Tony West, Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, Deputy Attorney General James Cole and Deputy Associate Attorney General Karol Mason — who “all came to the DOJ from prestigious white-collar defense firms where they represented the very financial institutions the DOJ is supposed to investigate.”

Crony Capitalism.  But, in reality, that’s nothing new for Obama is it.

But exactly how far off is he?  I mean, surely he isn’t far off from his predecessors, right?  Well, Jean-Claude very succinctly lays it out:

Bush – 1,300 convictions;

Clinton – 1,000 convictions;

Obama – Zero attempts.

That’s 0 (ZERO) attempts.  Not Convictions, attempts.  You can’t get a conviction if you don’t even try.  They didn’t even try to get a conviction against the basis of Obama’s class warfare rhetoric.

Now, back to the people who cheered Morello’s remarks and sneered at Ryan.  Do you really think that Obama ISN’T the problem that Morello is talking about?  In fact, he’s more of a problem that George W. Bush ever was.
